I just heard something similar tonight. I asked my favorite Virtual Tour company about custom uploaded audio and was told that most of the participants don't have the right voice for audio. OK, I'll admit that I'm "right there". My southern accent makes a great many people think I'm slow...or even worse, stupid. I'm used to it though. I've been in sales for about 20 years and those that know me know that I am an expert in my field, slow southern drawl and all!

Dear Mr Scribble: It is such a shame that your medication ran out on you. I am guessing that if you can get another prescription, and have it filled at Target or WalMart... the generic would only cost you $4.00. Is your malady due to some sort of PTSD or head injury, or perhaps an inherited gene or two got scrambled? Anyway... get it refilled, and then don't miss a day.

I tried to watch your video, Mr. Scribble, but it froze at the 1:24 mark. So for now I'm just going to keep blogging with words and images. I can produce that a lot quicker, and it has a much wider (and more reliable) audience reach.

Great post! I was in broadcasting in a previous life, and I take issue with those who say most people don't have the voice for it. If you know your subject and speak with confidence, accents and tone don't matter.

Very funny! Its my expressions I wonder about. Once, many years ago, I was interviewed in England by one of their world news reporters. My head kept bobbing up and down. I hate that clip!

Mr. Novak - it must be someone else's fault my video is sticking. Can I blame it on the network or my dial up modem? I'll send you a hard copy with text and images on the next video-go-round. I'm new here and just learning the ropes, I hope this won't be a hangable offense.

Ms Bowers - accents make your video interesting. Everyone loves an accent...is yours French? My friends need some work, but I like their accents, they just need to rehearse a bit for video.

Ms. Giannotta - broadcasting? WOW! What a pleasure to meet you. Tone, inflection, comfort, relaxed, accent or not, there is a lot we can learn from watching my friends in this video. How to overcome the fear is the first step, at least for me and my friends.
